Cool. I noticed this on recent market shelves but it seems they use a type of thin paraffin sheet. Was wondering.
I think you gotta put the sheet in between the banana "fingers", like when you tape up your hand for boxing...Dennis, because I noticed after I started to take bananas off to eat, the ones exposed started to turn brown.Take care.Kat

Funny that I tend to always need just the opposite, but if they ripen too fast all at once, Mister is right there begging for a banana snack. ^-^
