fruitica
Came upon these tomatoes at Benny called Fruitica (I should've taken a photo of them when I first bought them)..I think there were 8 of them in the package.
So sweet!
They are about the size of golf balls and grown in Karatsu, Saga in Kyushu.
Love how they also add the photo of the person who grew this.
I'm glad we tried this variety...looking forward to trying different tomatoes in the coming weeks.

always making me jealous, LOL
Still trying to find the "fruits" tomato but I guess I have to go the right season.
I actually have several bushes of wild tomatoes that are very sweet too. Can't remember if I planted the seeds or if the birds pooped them. They're very small, like garbanzo bean size. v
I love the photo of the farmer Kat! I noticed that they do this in yakiniku type restaurants in Hida-Takayama.....where you get the photo of the farmers who raised the beef...though it often looks like a mugshot!

awwww...that is so cool how they include a photo of the farmer - you get to know where and from whom the produce came!
So good to be able to “know” who grew them, Rowena!
Take care.
