We enjoyed their shumai, their reishabu salad and beef stew during the pandemic and it was a nice walk for us too.
Oh and their gyoza was gyoza snob approved.
We are sad to see them close, apparently they’ve been in business since 1962.

Found some "everyone's chairs" in front of a preschool.
Sad they gotta chain the chairs down so no one takes them.
Interesting liquor store front.Right now it is 450 yen (tax included) for 12 pieces, it will go up 50 yen...still a bargain.
The days are getting longer, the temperatures are getting warmer.
ps last night was the longest earthquake we have ever experienced, we are okay.
Other areas lost power and water, thank you to everyone who checked on us.
We picked up some items for lunch...their ham and egg sandwich, egg sandwich, fish sandwich and keema curry pan.
The curry pan was disappointing not much filling, but the others were delicious...I'm sure we'll be back whenever we are nearby.
It was nice to be able to see Mount Fuji from the Tama river. To cross over to Kanagawa you need to cross the Tama river, and the Keikyu and JR lines do just that.
There is a really low area underneath the Keikyu line that you can pass under, I shot a short video of it here.
From here we walked back home stopping at Zoshiki to find something for dinner. We stumbled upon an izakaya, Miraku, selling their oden...earlier that morning I was watching an episode of "Cool Japan" and they were talking about oden. So, since I was in a rut as to what to eat/cook, we walked over to Zoshiki and went to check to see if Inose had their beef stew.
They did.
500 yen (tax included) for 1 serving.
I should've taken the photo before covering the whole bowl with gravy.
Underneath the gravy there is half a potato, some carrots and very tender beef.
I added some broccoli for color.
The beef stew is rich and is a demi-glace base.
I'm glad we got to try this and we'll be back to purchase this again.
They only sell these on Wednesdays and have always been sold out by the time we've gone past the shop.
The wife of the owner always tells us, "if you come by 8:15, you might be able to buy some"...emphasis on "might"
We could always reserve some but with the weather as weird as it has been the day we do reserve some would probably rain cats and dogs...or something...
BUT...Inose had no line...they were not sold out and we were able to buy shumai!
These were delicious! super moist and flavorful...450 yen (tax included) was super cheap too.
No wonder most people buy more than one container.
I'm glad we tried these and will buy these again.
What caught our eye was fried shrimp from a butcher shop called Inose.
I bought a roll from Family Mart and made a sandwich.
Satoshi bought some rice and instant curry to make his fried shrimp curry lunch.
The fried shrimp was all shrimp, without spaces of only batter like some places.
We also purchased Inose's reishabu salad.Reishabu is thinly sliced pork that is blanched and usually seen during summer.
The salad had lettuce, onion, cucumbers and the pork.
I added some shiso and okra.
The dressing that came with this salad was so good!
It was kind of like ponzu (citrus soy) but with (I think) some ginger in it.
I still have one more bottle, so I will use this soon.
Inose also makes shumai, which we want to try but need to reserve, so hopefully we'll be able to do so soon.
