Yesterday was Shunbun no hi (Autumn Equinox). Satoshi had the day off. I checked to see what we did last year on this day. It turns out we went to
Cosmos no Sato.
We called to see if the cosmos were in full bloom, they were, so we went to check them out.
The bus ride was still a woozy one, but the weather was nice and we got to spend some time with nature.

Hi Kat - Looks like a very bright day!
I like all the colors...it makes me feel as if it were spring already.
About the rice that your friend grows--do you know how big of an area in which she grow it? (You probably know where this is heading...) I casually mentioned the idea of growing our own rice to my husband, but we'd need the space. One day...if we are ever able to afford a farm!
The pictures are beautiful--glad the weather was good and you had a lovely day for the equinox.
Thanks Kirkk & Deb!
I'll ask her the next time I see her, Rowena :)
Take care everyone!

I wonder why they call those pretty pink flowers "Cosmos" but it really doesn't matter. They bloom right now here in Saitama near my house. Finally feels like summer is over...
I'm not sure Martin, but the Japanese kanji is "aki sakura" (autumn cherryblossom), I love this season just before it gets REALLY cold :) enjoy the blooms in your neighborhood!
Take care.

I love the cosmos flower, had it on my our balcony last year.
Have a wonderful, calm and creative autumn! :)
That must have been so nice, Beadexplorer! I hope you have a great autumn :)
Take care.
