fooki

Went to try Fooki with Jenny, she was kind to come out all the way out to the West side.

It was our first time

There was an office party in the line before us to get in, luckily we got our order in before them!

BUT the food came out super fast, like, scary too fast!

Lu rou fan…mushy rice, insert unhappy face

The pork & fried tofu were tasty though

The pickles reminded me of my mom’s bread and butter pickles.

Beef scallion noodles, glad this didn’t have soup, was too hot for soup on this day

The noodles were too soft for my liking but I enjoyed the sliced beef, super tender and tasty

Ma la dumplings…super spicy!

oh and a taste of Jenny's wintermelon tea…um, no

She gave us all sorts of goodies, like chocolates from Choco le'a and haupia poi banana bread from Babes Bakery

I appreciated Jenny dropping me off at the rail station after lunch.

It was nice to catch up with her

If you are interested, here's a link to Jenny's post on Fooki

Thanks for today Jenny

Too bad about the rice and the noodles, but the food does look good.

Too bad about the lu rou fan Kat! That's one of my favorite Taiwanese dishes.

lol sorry that this meal was such a fail! Maybe next time we just gotta dine in town, all the good places seem to be out here. Hope you enjoyed the gift and it was great seeing you!
